Nanny’s Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients
1 stick butter
1 cup whole milk
1 cup sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 quart fruit—your choice, fresh or frozen
(suggested: peaches, berry mix, apples)

What To Do
Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

Melt butter in bottom of 9 by 9 glass baking dish. Add milk, sift in flour and sugar, and then add fruit. Bake at 350 degrees until crust rises to top and browns.

    Hi Ann,
    Iam leaving a comment re:Nannys Fruit Cobbler. I did not get to watch the episode, but I saw pictures. Question did you mix the melted butter with the dry ingredients prior to baking? also I would suggest adding 2 tsp of baking powder to help aid in rising of cobbler. To take it even further I would add one tablespoon of cornstatch and juice of one lemon to fruit prior to putting it in cobbler. You will also want to add sugar to sweeten so the fruit will taste good. The cornstarch will thicken the fruit a bit. You could add cinnamon or whatever other spice you would like.
